Other Groups Of Donors

As well as patient donors, ETHICAL TISSUE collects samples from other donor groups to help support biomedical research. These groups include healthy volunteers from the staff cohort of the University of Bradford who are asked to donate small samples of blood, urine or other body fluids for biomedical research purposes.

ETHICAL TISSUE also receives samples that were originally donated for transplant use but have subsequently been found to be unsuitable for this purpose. In these cases permission has been sought from the donor's next of kin for use of these tissues in biomedical research.
