When Interdisciplinary Human Studies was a department at the University of
Bradford, it was the first reviewed under Philosophy (Unit 55), to be awarded
24 points out of 24 by the QAAHE
for its course provision. The Subject Review Visit occurred in October 2000.
The award is unique in the UK, bringing together the techniques and perspectives
of Philosophy, English,
Sociology and Psychology
in a single inter-disciplinary programme of study.

In the Guardian Philosophy League Table 2002 philosophy at Bradford is ranked 8th out of a total of 53 departments in the UK
According to the Good University Guide, published in the Times Newspaper (May 9, 2002), philosophy at Bradford is ranked 16th out of a total of 43 departments in the UK.
