Dr. Karen Hampson
Karen graduated from Swansea University with a Master in Physics (MPhys) degree in 2000. She completed her PhD in adaptive optics for vision science at Imperial College in 2004, where she was supervised by Professor Chris Dainty and Dr Carl Paterson. She was appointed as a postdoctoral research assistant at the University of Bradford in 2005. Karen's current research is in the field of ocular aberration dynamics and adaptive optics. In conjunction with Dr Mallen, she is investigating the impact of aberration dynamics on accommodation control and myopia progession. The work is funded by EPSRC.
