Library
The School of Management Library (the Yvette Jacobson Library) houses about
35,000 books and 7,000 bound journal volumes. The Management Library subscribes
to around 110 key business and management journal titles in paper copy, and
allows registered students online access to more than 1,000 authoritative journals
concerning business and management. There is a short-loan collection containing
the key readings for each course, plus collections of market-research information
and access to Business and Management theses and MBA dissertations.
Online database services are readily available for use both on and off-campus,
providing full-text journals, company financial information, market research
and other quality sources of business and management information. These and
other services are supported by friendly and informed library staff.
Access is easily available to the online
library catalogue.
The library catalogue provides access not only to the School of Management
Library, but also to the wider resources of the J.B.Priestley
Library and the University Learner Support service on the main University
campus, and other academic libraries and external databases.
All the library's online subject resources are now accessible via MetaLib,
which provides a single interface to simplify access and provide new features
and facilities when using the library's subject resources.
Alternatively, many of the subscription databases can be accessed directly
via the Athens homepage.
