PhD student wins First Prize at National Doctoral Conference
First year School of Management PhD student Trudy Bates achieved joint winner of first prize for the best presentation at the CERIC (Centre for Employment Relations, Innovation and Change) Doctoral Conference at Leeds University Business School. Her fifteen minute presentation "A job for a woman? A critical exploration of trade union leadership and career" was based on her current research project within the HRM group and supervised by Drs. Jo McBride, Andrew Smith and Carol Atkinson. The prize awarded was the costs for attending a leading national conference of the student's choice. Well done Trudy.
