EcoCampus Implementation

The University has over the last two years been implementing an informal environmental management system. We are now keen to work towards an accredited system which recognises our addressing of key environmental issues. The University has recently committed to the pilot EcoCampus environmental management system for the higher education sector. We will be working closely in collaboration with the pilot’s partners to change our operational practices and ultimately seek external verification of our improvements.

By implementing EcoCampus we will get support in identifying and reducing our key environmental impacts, complying with environmental legislation, developing controls for those activities which impact on the environment, staff environmental training, managing environmental incidents, and monitoring and reporting of our environmental performance.
