EcoversityCar sharing is when two or more people share a car journey to work/home. Car sharing is a simple way to cut the costs of fuel and parking, cut congestion and pollution.
If you can commit to car sharing on a daily basis with at least one other University of Bradford member then you can take advantage of a huge bargain of a reserved space for just £60 / year or £30 per person or less! With the demand for car parking ever increasing the University, in partnership with the Council and Bradford & Bingley, has developed the bradfordcarshare.com car sharing scheme in association with LiftShare.
bradfordcarshare.com already has over 140,000 users and you can search for a match just from the University of Bradford, or open it up to search for matches from our partner organisations – it ’s therefore the perfect way to find someone to share with to get a cheap parking space.
Registration is free and easy to complete. There is a useful FAQ section on the website and no personal data is released to other carshare members other than a username and the journey details you’ve added.
We now have 3 City Car Club cars sighted around the University as part of a joint project with Bradford College. These cars are now fully operational. The cars can be used for short trips (up to a few hours) in the local area and allow you to have all the benefits of a car at work without the hassle of having to commute in one.
Two cars are based on Carlton Street and one at the School of Health Studies. The cars can be used for either work purposes or leisure and staff and students can use them. The hire cost from around 4 pounds / hour.

Discounts:
You can also become a personal member of the City Car Club. If you would like to do this there are joining discounts of 25% to University of Bradford Staff (using code BUSTAFF) and 50% to Students (using code STU301).
