Service Provision from Estates & Facilities Department |
Provide a high profile, visible presence throughout the University. Provide 24 hour emergency cover for fire, first aid, floods, lift malfunction/entrapment, vehicle breakdowns. Provide a quick response to intruder alarm activation or reported incidents in progress. Provide a point of contact on behalf of the University (reception desk, switchboard out of hours). Liaise with the police and PCSO’s and other institutions regarding any threat or major incident which may affect the University and its staff, students and visitors. Provide video evidence of events to the Police to the University as required. Provide statistics of incidents to the University on a monthly basis. |
Responsibilities of Users |
Staff, students and visitors to be vigilant and report anything suspicious. Take responsibility for their own security (lock doors, keep valuables out of sight/locked away when unattended, not in use etc.). Exercise control over keys/alarm codes etc. (issue/collection). |
