NEW FINANCE DIRECTOR

The University's new Finance Director, Sue Kershaw, is to take up her post at Bradford in January.

Sue is currently Deputy Director of Finance at the University of Manchester. Next month, she will replace Bradford's current Director of Finance & Business Services, Geoff Hope-Terry, who will swap working environments with Sue when he takes up his new position as Director of Finance at Manchester.

Sue said: "I have been at Manchester for around 10 years so, although I shall be very sorry to leave, I am looking forward to rising to the challenges of a new job at Bradford."

As part of her new role, Sue will be responsible for implementing and maintaining financial controls and procedures to safeguard the University's assets, to provide adequate financial information to assist the University in strategic decision making and to ensure the University meets its statutory and regulatory financial obligations. The Finance Office provides a range of financial services offering support and advice in a wide range of areas.
