BUS OFFERS STUDENT REASSURANCE

UBUS volunteers. In the midst of winter, dark nights can be a problem for students concerned about walking home safely.

Staff are therefore asked to make students aware of a free alternative - the Student Union Safety Bus (UBUS).

The UBUS takes students to their front door within a two-mile radius of campus. It is funded by the Students' Union with a contribution from Bradford College and runs every weekday evening during term time.

Five drivers and five chaperones - a male and female on each service - help to run the bus.

This leaves outside the Richmond Building Main Entrance at 5.15pm, 7.15pm, 8pm, 9.30pm, 10pm, and 11pm, the School of Management at 6.15pm and the Appleton Science Building, where College students have priority, at 9pm.

Donations to help run the bus are always welcome. Collection boxes are situated in JB's Bar and the Student Union shop.
