BIKO BAR FACELIFT

The Biko Bar in the University's Richmond Building has been given a £25,000 facelift.

The new colour scheme creates a warm atmosphere and co-ordinates well with the colour scheme in JB's, the other main bar on campus. New seating and a new carpet give the bar a smarter appearance, and pine fixtures provide a bright, spacious feel.

There are drinks promotions every evening from Monday to Friday. A range of speciality coffees and teas, light lunches and snacks are available during the day.

UBU Communications Officer, Ali Dodson, said: "The refurbishment, which has cheered up what was once a rather gloomy bar, is only part the continuing effort by the UBU to provide smarter and better venues for its students."
