Student house hunting made easier

The new Unipol bureau.Students looking for private housing have been given a helping hand with the opening of a new state-of-the-art Accommodation Bureau on campus.

The new office, funded by the University, is Unipol Student Homes, an independent charitable organisation, originating in Leeds.

It will have its official launch on Friday, May 10, when it will be opened by the Vice-Chancellor, Professsor Chris Taylor.

With the extension of its services to Bradford, students at the University and Bradford College will be able to get details of private housing available for rent as well as access to housing advice and related services.

The office, next to the Sports Centre, has web access terminals and a full range of information and advice on house hunting.

Details of properties are also displayed on boards in the Accommodation Bureau and on the website, where students, and staff, can make their own personalised searches and advertise property to share.

Opening hours are from 9.30am until 5pm Monday to Friday, except Thursdays.
