Chairman of Inland Revenue tours University

Chairman of the Inland Revenue, Sir Nicholas Montagu KCB, recently visited the University following an invitation from our Chancellor, Baroness Lockwood.

Sir Nicholas is interested in cultural diversity issues and his work at the Inland Revenue involves raising awareness of the tax system and promoting opportunities for work experience.

He was welcomed to the University by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Chris Taylor.

During the day he met Head of Careers, Ron Harle, and was given a brief by Project Co-ordinator of the Impact Programme, Roy Christian, and Val Sherred, of the Inland Revenue. He later visited an Inner City Studies programme workshop with Head of Access and Widening Participation, Nadira Mirza.
