of Health Studies Investors in People
The School of Health
Studies has been awarded the impressive Investors in People (IiP) status
for the fourth year running.
Investors in People
is the national standard which sets a level of good practice for training
and development of staff to achieve the goals of the organisation.

Assessor Sue Hiley
spent two days at the School speaking to a wide section of staff before
making her judgement. Assessment included taking consideration of areas
such as the planning process and equal opportunities as well as the progress
made in areas identified during the previous review.
Commenting on the
positive feedback, Acting Dean of School Gwendolen Bradshaw said: "I am
delighted in the result for the School which reflects the hard work staff
put in to ensure that our internal processes meet the current standard.
The formal report is extremely positive and the School will address the
development issues indicated in the report in the spirit of continuous
improvement."
Pro-Vice-Chancellor
(Resources) and Chair of the University's IiP Project Group Grace Alderson
said: "This is also a very positive outcome for the University in line
with its strategy of achieving Investors in People recognition as an institution."
