relate experiences of year out
Returning intercalating
students from the Department of Biomedical Sciences recently met to give
feedback to other students and staff from their year out.
During the year, students
suspend their registration and work in placements in industry, the NHS
and academic research institutions.
Some
of the students from the Department of Biomedical Sciences who took part
in the placements in industry, the NHS and academic research institutions.
The placements were
organised by Dr Martin Brinkworth and included work in Havenfern, Slough;
New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton; National Blood Service, Leeds; Airedale
General Hospital, Keighley; Paterson Laboratories, Christie Hospital,
Manchester; Tom Connors Cancer Research Centre, Bradford; Queen Elizabeth
Hospital, Kings Lynn; Covance, Harrogate; University College London; Royal
Free Hospital; North Western Laboratories, Preston; University of Leeds;
and Paediatric Epidemiology Group.
