Microsoft confirms top students
Global
computing giant Microsoft is supporting four of the University's Informatics
students in their studies.
Mohammed Mehdi Haider pictured
on the right with, Mehdi Salehi, Tim Spivey and Nauman Leghari have all
been confirmed as Microsoft Student Partners after being nominated by
the School of Informatics.
Benefits to the students include
free software and the use of a Tablet PC during their studies.
Computer science lecturer Dr
Paul Rhodes said: "This award is very valuable for these students - it's
also great kudos for them and for the University."
The programme has been designed
by Microsoft to recognise students who have made an impact on their peers,
are passionate about technology and who are interested in developing a
closer relationship with the company.
