School of Management Reunion
The
School of Management thirtieth anniversary reunion was a resounding success
with 19 of the 28 people who graduated in 1972 gathering from all around
the world in Bradford to celebrate.
Graduates travelled
from around the UK, from the USA, Canada, Switzerland, Spain and as far
as the Falklands.
Throughout the weekend
the friends enjoyed a curry lunch before meeting up at Emm Lane for group
photographs and a tour of the expanded School and facilities at Heaton
Mount.
Most of the group
also visited Salts Mill before gathering with partners at Hollins Hall
Hotel and Country Club near Shipley for dinner, drinks and reminiscing
into the early hours. The next day, they took part in a walk up to the
Cow and Calf rocks, in Ilkley, and ended the day with a farewell lunch
at the original Harry Ramsdens, in Guiseley. John Bonnett and Peter Goudge,
who are currently Directors of their respective companies, Moda Group
and the BPRI Group, jointly organised the event.
Peter said: "It was
fantastic that so many people had put in the effort to get together. Given
that many hadn't seen each other for the full 30 years, it was great that
they seemed to pick up almost where they had left off. There was certainly
a strong desire that the event should be repeated before too long."
