UNIVERSITY GETS A FACE LIFT

The new kitchen facilities in Halls. The University campus has seen a number of changes over the summer. Director of Estates, Colin Fairweather, explains what has been happening.

He said: "Over the summer period the University has been engaged in an extensive and often frenetic programme of building works involving fifteen major and numerous minor projects totalling more than £7.5m.

"The schemes include state-of-the-art teaching facilities at the School of Management, further improvements to general teaching areas on the main campus and much needed additional space in the J.B.Priestley building for Learning Support.

"Each project is important in its own right but perhaps the most dramatic metamorphosis has been the University and Bradford Halls of Residence where the refurbishment of 142 study bedrooms together with vastly improved kitchen and bathroom facilities has completely transformed the buildings."
