NEW PRO CHANCELLOR ANNOUNCED

Anita Craig has been named as a new Pro-Chancellor of the University. She has been a lay member of the University Council since 1995.

Anita was born in West Yorkshire and educated in North Wales. She qualified as a diagnostic radiographer at the Bradford Royal Infirmary in 1969, and moved from Bradford to work initially in Northern Ireland.

Since returning to the district in 1976, she has worked in health care, dealing with management issues, and teaching food hygiene and health and safety. She also runs recreational programmes for people with disabilities.

Speaking of her new role at the University Anita said: "I am honoured to be asked to take up this post. I think it is a very exciting challenge and I am looking forward to it."
