STUDENTS BUILD ROBOTS FOR INTER-UNIVERSITY GRAND PRIX CLASH

Chris and Dan with the robots.Two masters students from the Department of Cybernetics, Interent and Virtual Worlds have created hi-tech racing robots for an inter-university robot wars style competition at Glasgow University.

Chris Tallon and Dan Hedges have built the robots out of Lego. The robots aren't just remote controlled, they have embedded a tiny computer inside a Lego brick which can be wired to a PC or laptop for programming.

Dan and Tim are both building their own robots then plan to use the best features from each to create, what they hope, will be the winning entry.
