The four students were Ilias Beshimov, Ivan Daniel-Sam, David Rees and Jonathan Whittaker. A presentation took place in the University's Gallery II, where the students were each presented with a certificate and a £500 cheque by the Jowett family, John Illingworth, Jenny Reavill and Constance Jowett. Benjamin Jowett founded the Jowett Car company in Bradford in 1901 - Bradford's only major car manufacturer. His family endowed the University of Bradford to support students in Mechanical & Automotive Engineering, with up to seven scholarships awarded each year to students for academic excellence on admission to the first-year of the course. A photograph is available from the Press Office. See contact details below. Caption: Back row (from left): Ivan Daniel-Sam, Jonathan Whittaker, John Jowett Illingworth, Ilias Beshimov and David Rees.
