Enid Blyton's Secret Seven rally to save the world . . . again!

University of Bradford's Theatre in the Mill is presenting its first Christmas show in quite a while this year, THE SECRET SEVEN SAVE THE WORLD, from Wednesday 11th to Saturday 14th December.

Secret Seven image. This original play by Charles Way, based on the books by Enid Blyton, is a hilarious family adventure story any Enid Blyton-reading adult will delight in, and which is hugely entertaining for children too. Peter, one of the original Secret Seven, is now a granddad and retired. His days of saving the world are over and he's enjoying a well-earnt retirement on his idyllic farm.

On a holiday visit to their Grandpa, the grandchildren discover that the wicked Eva Ball will go to any lengths to take over Peter's farm in order to extend her own bizarre theme park. Not only that, but it's part of an evil plan to take over the world, and turn it all into a theme park!

When Peter becomes the victim of a dastardly kidnapping, the kids decide to form a new Secret Seven, and embark on a perilously funny adventure that includes encounters with pirates, cowboys, witches, and even Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

Performed by Bradford University Theatre group and directed by Iain Bloomfield, THE SECRET SEVEN SAVE THE WORLD is a refreshing and witty alternative to Christmas panto.

Iain Bloomfield says: " I am delighted to be back working at the Theatre in the Mill, it is my favourite little theatre in the country. I am doubly pleased to be doing so on such an exciting show with such a diverse cast. The Secret Seven Save the World promises to be as a huge amount of fun for both audiences and cast."

THE SECRET SEVEN SAVE THE WORLD will play at Bradford University's Theatre in the Mill from Wednesday 11th to Saturday 14th December.

Tickets are priced at £4.50 and £2.50. Suitable for audiences aged 7 years and over.
