Arriving in Bradford

If you come by coach or train, you will probably arrive at Bradford Interchange, about 1.4 km from the University. It is best to take a taxi from the Interchange to the University, and this will only cost about £3. The same applies if you arrive at Bradford's Forster Square station. However, the University aims to have staff at Bradford Interchange between 9.00 and 21.00 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday 15, 16 and 17 September 2000, to meet trains and coaches from London. We may also be able to arrange free transport up to the University. If you are arriving before 9.00 or after 21.00 and wish to be met, please email the University on pick-me-up@bradford.ac.uk and provide your name and the time of arrival of your train or coach.

Arriving at the University

If you have been offered a place in All Saints or Dennis Bellamy/Revis Barber Halls, Trinity Halls A, B or C, or International House, you should ask the taxi driver to take you to Dennis Bellamy Hall. If you have accommodation in Vernon Barnby Hall, you should ask to be taken to Heaton Mount at the University's Management Centre. If you have accommodation in any other Halls, you should go to the Residences and Catering Department in Bradford Hall. See this map for the location of Halls on the main campus.

There will be someone on duty at all times, day and night. If you have been allocated a room, then they will be able to direct you to it. However, it will be more convenient if you can plan to arrive during the daytime, as more staff will be available to help should there be any problem.

If your journey is slightly delayed, please let us know. If you wish to arrive earlier than the date on your accommodation offer you must contact the Accommodation Office - see 'contact details'. We will do our best to accommodate you, but it is unlikely to be in the room you will be allocated on a permanent basis.

Bradford Hall and the other Halls of Residence are shown on the map. Academic departments are mainly situated in the Richmond, Horton, Chesham and Phoenix Buildings.
