University of Bradford: Advance information for International Students

Orientation and welcome

Each year the University and the Students' Union organise an Orientation Day specifically for international students. The programme will introduce you to the University, and to life in the City of Bradford. The 2000 Orientation Day will be held on Monday 18 September. If you have been accepted for a place at the University, you will receive further details of the programme with your registration documents during July/August.

The Orientation Day will be followed, from Tuesday 19 September onwards, by various events designed to introduce all new students, both home and international, to the University and all its facilities. This is known as 'Welcome Week'. We hope that you will be able to take advantage of all these activities, as they will help you get to know people, and your way around, before you have to start the serious business of your course.

If at all possible, you should plan to arrive in Bradford in good time to take part in the Orientation Day and the Welcome Week.
