students taking part in a new programme to help them achieve the necessary
level of English needed to undertake a degree course. The International
Foundation Programme (IFP) is based in the University's Language Unit.

The University of Bradford topped the low cost of living chart as officially
the least expensive student city in the UK, according to a poll published
by the Guardian in conjunction with the Virgin 2003 Alternative Guide
to British Universities.
Pennine and Yorkshire Studies
Unit Launched

Fitting Tribute
Poetry, prose and photographs capturing the thoughts and feelings of people
with dementia and their carers were captured in a special celebratory
book produced by the University of Bradford's
Dementia Group as part of the Professor Tom Kitwood Memorial Competition.
The book, entitled 'Each person is Special' was launched to coincide with
the Bradford Dementia Group's ten-year anniversary.
