WEST YORKSHIRE POLICE EVENTS DURING MONDAY 13 OCTOBER 2003


Mobile Phone security marking


West Yorkshire Police will be present in the Richmond Building foyer between 10.00am and 4.00pm to security mark mobile phones. This is a free service which will help to reduce mobile phone thefts. In the unlikely event of your phone being stolen it is possible to permanently remove your phone from all telphone networks within 30 minutes by taking the simple steps given by the Police.


Campus Watch


A member of the West Yorkshire Police civilian team will be present in the Richmond Building foyer between 10.00am and 4.00pm to provide information about the newly established Campus Watch scheme. The aim of the scheme is to increase personal safety and security on and around the University campus. Further details of how the scheme will operate may be obtained on the day.

If there are general policing or personal issues which are of concern this will be an ideal opportunity for you to discuss them with the Police during your visit to the West Yorkshire Police stand.
