How has your career developed since leaving the University?
Since leaving Bradford University (BSc Hons Business & Management, 1993) I have done a number of things, but my career has really taken off in the last
6 years or so, when after a few short stints in a number of recruitment organisations, I found Jarvis Johnson! I joined the company in 2005 as a Recruitment Consultant and am now Joint MD with 50% of the shares in the company.
Who are you currently working for and what is your job title?
My business partner and I have also set up a sister company, Interim Bank (www.interimbank.co.uk), which is already operating at a small profit after fewer than 5 months of operation. I am now also embarking on a presenting, voice-over and writing career, having already earnt income from my voice-over work & writing.
I believe, therefore, that I am a good example of the successes that can be achieved professionally by Bradford Graduates!
What did you enjoy most about your time at Bradford?
I met my husband, Simon Roberts (BEng/MEng - enhanced and extended - 1990-1995) at Bradford University. We got married in 1996 and have 2 beautiful daughters aged 12 and 13 who had a fantastic time looking around the main & management centre campi/campuses at the University's 40th Anniversary celebrations a few years ago. It is therefore thanks to my time at Bradford Uni that I have achieved personal fulfilment and have the amazing family that I always dreamt of.
