Application procedure for Postgraduate Taught Programmes

1. Required Documents

Applicants should submit:
  1. A covering letter of interest in the Department and the proposed course of study
  2. A curriculum vitae
  3. A transcript of results from your first degree
  4. An English Language certificate if your native language is not English
  5. An application for admission to a postgraduate course of study
There are three different ways to apply:

a) Electronic submission

You can complete the on-line application form and email documents 1-4 to the relevant Postgraduate Secretary.

b) Paper submission

Please post documents 1-4 and the completed white form from the Postgraduate Information Pack to the relevant Postgraduate Secretary. You can also download this form in pdf format. If you have not got the Postgraduate Information Pack already, we will be pleased to send it to you on request.

c) Mixed media submission

It is also possible to send documents 1-4 in paper and fill in the on-line form but please send an email to the Postgraduate Secretary stating that you have posted the additional documents.

2. References

Please send/email reference forms to two academic referees and ask them to complete and return the forms to us as soon as possible.

Other Information

If your degree result is not yet know, please inform us as soon as it becomes available. Your application will be passed to the appropriate member of staff and if you meet the requirements you will be invited to visit us.

A decision will be made about your application and, if appropriate, a formal offer of a place will be sent out by our Postgraduate Registry. If you receive an offer, please confirm as soon as possible that you will accept this place.
