Mr Trevor Higgins - Doctor of the University
For his contribution to the City and Region through voluntary work especially within the learning and employer networks. Mr Higgins works closely with the University in promoting the Making Knowledge Work objective especially in relation to the Escalate Employer Engagement initiative.
Mr Zulfi Hussain - Doctor of Education
For his work in coaching, mentoring, diversity and promoting social inclusion. Mr Hussain is a self made Bradford based business man founding the company Global Based Synergy Solutions and is the founder of the not for profit charity organisation Global Promise.

Dr Leonidas Donskis - Doctor of Letters
For his work as a philosopher, political commentator and historian. Dr Donskis was a Levehulme Fellow in the Department of European Studies at the University of Bradford and continues to promote scholarly values through publications and the media.
Mr John D Smith - Doctor of Engineering
Mr Smith is the Director of Purchasing of Ford Europe and is an active supporter of the University through Learning and Teaching. He has a deep and continuing commitment to Engineering with a special interest in Higher Education supporting student and staff.

Prof. David Sharpe OBE - Doctor of Science
For his work as an Honorary Professor at the University of Bradford and the Director of the Plastic Surgery and Burns Unit at Bradford and Airedale Teaching and Primary Care Trust.
Professor Sharpe has a very strong record in developing the next generation of Plastic Surgeons regionally and nationally. Professor Sharpe was the lead surgeon during the aftermath of the Bradford City FC fire 25 years ago and has continued to provide support the region in terms of improving patient care through innovation.
Mr Lawrence Neil Tomlinson - Doctor of Engineering
For his commitment to improving the lives of the elderly and commitment to Engineering, Ecoversity and Equality. Mr Tomlinson, an alumnus of the University, has continued to contribute to the City and Region since his graduation.
