Eating & Drinking

Crowned Curry Capital in 2004, Bradford restaurants have a good reputation for excellent Asian cuisine. However, Bradford district has lots to of offer whatever your taste, with restaurants covering every corner of the world.

There are some great city centre bars and restaurants, and comfortable Yorkshire pubs, many of which are situated in the district's beautiful countryside. Fanny's Ale & Cider House in Saltaire and Bar T'at in Ilkley are just two of the many pubs in the district serving local real ale.

You can also purchase fresh Yorkshire produce at one of the many Yorkshire markets in Bradford district.

Due to the multi-cultural community in Bradford there is food available from all corners of the world - with many eateries a stone's throw from the campus. You can eat royally with a few pounds and a little imagination by shopping in stores such as Haqs International food store - winner of the award for best independent supermarket in Britain.

If you can't cook you'll want to learn after seeing some of the exotic produce spilling onto the streets outside the numerous worldwide food stores.
