New season publicity at Theatre in Mill, from Lara Gisborne, Arts Administrator In an effort to make Theatre in the Mill more visible on campus a season poster has been produced with listings on for all the Spring shows to accompany the Arts on Campus season brochure. We now need your help in finding good places to put this poster - particularly offices that can spare window space onto busy throughways. If you have a space for a poster or a small stock of season brochures, or would simply like to buy a ticket for one of this seasons shows (staff get a discount on the already very cheap tickets!) email: theatreinthemill@yahoo.co.uk or phone 3185. Thank you, Lara Gisborne
Redevelopment of University Web site, from Ruth Whitfield (Comp Centre) and Claire Gibbons (Corp Comms) We have met with the Web Development Group and are starting work on the University Web site. We shall be considering the feedback from the responses to the Web 2000 questionnaires and University Web stats. As these responses date back to 1999 we are seeking more up to date feedback from students and staff. Face, the external designers, have provided several designs based on the design that was shown to Information Providers. The Web Development Group are working on a version that combines the best of these designs - a draft will be made available for comment at a later stage. Initially we are seeking suggestions/feedback as to the links that should appear on the UOB home page. In order to provide a base for your thoughts, our initial ideas are outlined below: 1) We are aiming for a "clean" home page, and it is, therefore, suggested that only four or five major links should appear that target different audiences, eg staff, students, research, etc. 2) For users who have more specific needs, a drop down list box will appear that provides links to popular topics eg, departments, contacts, visitor information, prospectus, etc, etc. 3) For users whose requirements are not met by the above there will be a search button that will allow keyword searching of the UOB Web site. Please e-mail c.s.gibbons1@bradford.ac.uk and r.whitfield@bradford.ac.uk by first thing Monday 5 Feb with: a) Your thoughts on the above idea b) Your suggested links for the major links on the UOB home page c) Your suggested links for the drop down topic list d) Any other constructive comments you feel appropriate Many thanks
