As part of the School of Management's MBA programme, the MBA students undertake a management project. These are an opportunity to receive consultancy from an MBA student, supported by one of our leading academics.
In the past, schools or directorates within the University have used these projects to explore organisational or managerial challenges/opportunities. Academics within schools have also valued these projects as it is possible for researchers to use this research to gain data for publications, establish new contacts within organisations for business engagement and support their existing business networks with this opportunity.
For further details:
Contact Elaine Dean on e.dean1@bradford.ac.uk or extension 4329 to discuss further. Closing date for receiving proposals is 25th January.
Are you having a wardrobe sort-out before Christmas? Do you have any children's dressing-up clothes that your children have outgrown? They would be really appreciated in the Nursery as our costumes are so well used they are falling apart. Contact Sarah or June on 4866.

Through the National HE STEM programme the University of Bradford has been supporting this national project and has supplied spectrometers to every university in Yorkshire. The Royal Society of Chemistry's Spectroscopy in a Suitcase scheme is an outreach activity which gives school students the chance to learn about spectroscopy through hands-on experience. As well as covering the principles of spectroscopic techniques, the activities use real-life contexts to demonstrate the applications of the techniques.
Delivered by university students, the events have a strong emphasis on encouraging school pupils to consider studying STEM subjects and the career opportunities available.
This isn't just for chemists but can be used by engineering, pharmacy, health, bioscience and forensic science colleagues. If you receive any money for Christmas this suitcase of goodies can help you detect whether your money is authentic.........

We have some funding, courtesy of the Braduate Fund, to run a Christmas Vacation Project for students who may be staying on or around campus for Christmas and the New Year. We have several events - party, football tournament, walks, ten-pin bowling, board games afternoon planned, subsidised pantomime trip, plus the opportunity to bid for some funding towards making a meal on Christmas Day for a group of friends.
Want to help? We would be very grateful for any donations of non-perishable Christmas food items and Christmas crackers, which would mean that our funding can go further. Any board games and jigsaws that you no longer need would be very useful. Food items and games can be delivered to the Hub, for the attention of Sue Baker, or call ext 3080 to arrange collection. Plus if you are likely to have a little spare time and would like to lead a walk by public transport to a local beauty spot or even a park that would also be much appreciated.
Full programme will soon be available on the web, and is available now by emailing Christmas@bradford.ac.uk
