ResNet and RoamNet service update

From the end of this academic year (2010-11) the University will no longer offer a ResNet service in Halls of Residence. All Halls available to students will have an Internet service provided by others. (The exception is Vernon Barnby Halls at the School of Management which will be connected to the RoamNet service instead).

Therefore, all references to the University ResNet service and website - www.resnet.brad.ac.uk should be removed from web pages and printed documents.

Information about the University RoamNet service will move from the dedicated website to the LSS website, and so any references to the RoamNet service should now point to www.bradford.ac.uk/lss/it-services/roamnet/.

Disabled Students Enabled Practitioners – Managing Impairments in Practice Placement Settings (MIPPS)

Workshop 29th June 2011 - 9.30 am – 3.30 pm, Room L 30, Richmond Building

This programme has been developed in collaboration with The Yorkshire and the Humber Opening Doors to Health Professional Education Network (YAHODHPEN), to build on the very successful workshop held at the University of Huddersfield in July 2010 by the MIPPS Team (Managing Impairments in Practice Placement - SHA funded project completed in September 2010).

It aims to share the final outcomes of that project and provide an overview of on-going work at the Universities of Huddersfield and Bradford and across the Region, in supporting disabled students in practice placements. We will be joined by James Hill, lecturer and practitioner in physiotherapy, who will tell us how he managed to overcome the educational and occupational barriers posed by his severe dyslexia.

For more information and to book a place, please contact Dr Christine Dearnley, School of Health Studies - c.a.dearnley@bradford.ac.uk or ext 6449.
