New. Save Energy - hints and tips

Switch to saving . . .

Did you know that a photocopier left switched on overnight wastes enough energy to make 1500 A4 copies?

Save energy - switch photocopiers and fax machines off when you leave the office - every little bit helps

New. A big thank you

Many thanks to everyone who donated and/or bought books at the charity book sale on Thursday 18 May. We raised £580 and still have enough books to do more sales over the summer. My target is to raise £1000 in total.

All funds raised are going to Casa Guatemala a home for orphaned and abandoned children in Guatemala.

Thank you once again for your support it is very much appreciated.

Ingrid Downie, Social Sciences and Humanities.

Offices relocating due to works on campus

New. Admissions are on the move

Pending relocation to the new Student Centre in September, Admissions Office staff are to make a temporary transfer to what was the Staff Refectory on F-Floor of the Richmond Building.

With the exception of the Office of the Mature Student Adviser (Joyce Martin), who will move this Thursday (1st June), those staff currently located within the Admissions suite of Offices (D42-47) will relocate on Friday 9 June. These are Roger Ash, Pauline Sewell, Irene O’Hara, Lis Lewis, Sally Raby, Nancy Andrews, Meena Mistry, Margaret Maggs, Glenn Leedham, Laura Rees, Polina Cowburn.

We should be up and running by close of play on Friday 9 June.

Please do bear with us during the move and, in particular, on Thursday 8 June when we will be packing up ready for transfer and thus will find it difficult to respond to queries.

Thanks.
