New. Garden of the Heart at Theatre in the Mill

Friday 21st October at 7:30pm

Boojum Theatre

Garden of the Heart

Strange dishes and exotic brews.
Tall tales and odd mementos.

Theatre in the Mill | £6.50/£4.00 concessions.

Orphaned Molly lives on a barren island in an abandoned lighthouse with her grandparents, Ida and Eddie. As her fourteenth birthday approaches, she begins to discover that some things don't add up in the heroic tales she's heard about her parents. When Molly decides to face the truth of her parentage to escape her claustrophobic surroundings, painful past memories force Eddie and Ida to face the truth of their own relationship . . .

Featuring live music, Garden Of The Heart explores themes of growing up, the distortion of memory over time and the ways in which personal myths and imagination can offer us routes to freedom.

Garden of the Heart will take you on a unique lyrical journey into the tangled lives of three people who discover how the imagination can bury our hopes - or unearth new treasures.

Boojum is a bold new company committed to total theatre, blending vivid language with striking visuals and live music.

Suitable for 14 years and over.
