The Equality and Diversity Unit in partnership with HR and the Respect Sexual Orientation staff network are once again preparing our application for a place on Stonewall’s prestigious Workplace Equality Index. The index represents the Top 100 Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual (LGB) friendly employers nationally.

Last year we submitted our first entry and achieved 104th place from a field of 400 applications. Top places went to the Home Office, Lloyds Banking Group, Ernst & Young, Hampshire Constabulary and IBM. The Universities of Salford, Liverpool John Moores, Cardiff and Cambridge also made it into the top 100.

If you would like to take part in our 2012 bid you can do so by completing an online feedback survey. This is open to LGB staff only and involves answering a few questions on Stonewall’s website www.stonewall.org.uk/wei2012/survey  You will need our unique code to access the survey which is 317.
