AUT Members

The results of the survey of AUT members (specifically, the questions on members' attitude towards the merger itself and towards a survey of the views of all staff prior to a final decision) have now been received. All members have been circulated with a memo including the AUT press release containing the results and other essential information.

The LA Committee are calling an Extraordinary General Meeting, to be held on Wednesday 21 May at 1.10 pm in Room E59 Richmond Building, to discuss the LA's response to the results of the survey.

Showstoppers - an evening of songs from the shows

Bradford University Society of Operettas & Musicals presents SHOWSTOPPERS - An evening of songs from the shows
Thursday 22nd May, 7.30pm Tasmin Little Music Centre, University of Bradford
Admission £2 full/£1 concessions (on the door)

Following the society's sell-out run of 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum' in March, they are back and ready to entertain with an evening filled with songs from well known and lesser known musicals and operettas.

EIMC Degree Show

The Department of Electronic Imaging and Media Communications invites all staff to a presentation of project work by final year students.

The event will be held on Friday 6 June 2002 from 9.00 am - 5.30 pm in Pictureville at the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television.

This week is national vegetarian week and the main refectory is offering extensive vegetarian dishes all week with a special vegetarian theme day on Thursday.

LAWN Seminar series

You are invited to forthcoming seminar to be held at the School of Management entitled "The Double Barrier to the Internationalisation of Alternative Work Systems: The Translation of Japanese Operations in the UK" to be given by Dr Ayse Saka, from the University of Groningen, The Netherlands.

The seminar will take place in Room 12, Airedale Building, School of Management, Wednesday 21 May, 12.00 - 2.00 pm.

The seminar is part of the LAWN (Local Academic Women Network) Seminar Series.
