City campus car parks announcements

With the start of term approaching and more of our activities now on the City Campus our car parks are soon to be filling up to capacity.  To find out more about how we are dealing with this issue see - http://www.bradford.ac.uk/estates/car-parking/latest-car-parking-news/

To help staff and students to find spaces visitors are now only allowed to park in the first come first served visitor car park next to the Richmond Building on the City Campus.  To find out more about using this car park or what to do if it is full see - http://www.bradford.ac.uk/estates/car-parking/visitor-travel/. Departments now need to return all visitor permits to Richmond Reception.

Occasional User Permit Holders should continue to use current permits in the normal way until 30th September and then exchange or order new ones from 1st October.

If you currently drive into the university and would consider swapping to public transport we have a number of free 1 week METRO cards available to swap for your parking permit for a week.  These allow you to use any buses or trains in West Yorkshire to see what your journey would be like.

If you have any questions please contact carparking@bradford.ac.uk

Outduction: enhancing the final year experience

As the Outduction project draws to a close, the Bradford project team and members of staff from the Schools of Computing, Informatics and Media, and Engineering Design Technology recently participated in two major dissemination events: a local one here and the project’s national conference at Kew Gardens.  The three-year collaborative project between Kingston University London and University of Bradford, funded by the National Teaching Fellowship Scheme aimed to improve our understanding of the experience of students in their final year of undergraduate study.  Six key themes emerged:

Links to both dissemination events with presentations around these themes are available from http://www.outduction.ac.uk/dissemination.php  The project’s Bradford Advisory Group will meet in the next month or so to consider ways in which important findings from the project can be taken forward.
