and acknowledged across the University?
Communicating in an Information Age is an exciting project funded by

for use across the institution making innovative use of communication
technologies such as wikis, blogs, voice over IP, video conferencing etc.

Your University
Needs You! (reminder)
The Clearing Helpline: Thursday 17 August and Friday 18 August 2006.
Volunteers are required to assist with this mission critical activity.
No previous experience is required and full training will be provided.
A very rewarding opportunity exists to help a large number of young,
and not so young, people who find that they have not been accepted at
their university of first choice and hence find themselves in Clearing.
The University requires people with a sympathetic ear and a good telephone
manner who can receive calls, log initial information, and forward these
enquiries to colleagues in academic areas.
Commitment would involve a 4 hour shift per day, however if you can
do more that would be appreciated.
Training will be provided and will involve a morning or afternoon session
whereby you will be shown how to deal with an enquiry and how to log this
on SAINT.
If you would like to find out more or volunteer your services, please
e-mail Meena Mistry at m.mistry@bradford.ac.uk
or ext 3081. Please respond by the 5 May 2006.
