A big thank you to everybody who very kindly contributed to the Children in Need Appeal, organised by the support staff from the Department of Languages and European Studies (you may have seen four St Trinians students causing mischief around the campus on Friday 21st!).
The grand total came to £385.64 (made up of money raised on the day itself and orders for Pudsey Bear merchandise).

"a stuffing good festive treat" City Life
In 1990, after 50 years performing their 'Magicomedy' act around the county's music halls, social clubs and retirement homes, the disillusioned illusionists bade farewell to the world of showbiz. But now The Amazing Syd Selby and Fanny are back with their 'Christmas Turkey' and they have a few bones to pick with a certain celebrity TV magician and his wife. With a unique blend of magic and comedy, they serve up old favourites such as 'The Pyramid of Death', 'Levitating Fanny', 'The Cabinet of Doom' and surprise special guests, all washed down with music from the Derek Farnell Orchestra. 'Syd and Fanny's Christmas Turkey' promises to be a feast of festive variety not to be missed. Not suitable for all the family. Contains strong language!
