Name of new institution - have you filled in your questionnaire?

On behalf of the University and College, Priority Research Limited are conducting a survey to find out what you feel about some of the possible names that have been put forward for the proposed new institution. The questionnaire is hosted by Priority Research Limited on a secure website and individual replies will not be disclosed to the University.

Removal of the Award of 'Pass at Honours'

I write to remind all staff of the decision of the Senate (April 2002):

  • that the award of Pass at Honours be removed from the 'Regulations Governing Undergraduate Awards' with effect from the 2003/04 session
  • that the revised regulation apply to all students who enter their final Stage from 2003/04

The long lead-in timescale was intended to give Schools and central areas time to inform existing students clearly about the imminent change in regulations, and thus avoid a lengthy transitional period.

Schools have already been asked to inform existing students of this change clearly and to prepare to amend course handbooks (and definitive course documents, where necessary) accordingly. This is by way of a reminder to ensure that the University and its students are well aware that this is the last session (2002/03) in which the Pass at Honours will be awarded.

If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact Alison Carass on ext 3897 or e-mail a.j.carass@bradford.ac.uk
