40th Anniversary notices
John
Hegley at Theatre in the Mill
Wednesday 14 June 2006, 7.30pm
University of Bradford Graduate, John Hegley, returns for a special performance
as part of the University's 40th Anniversary celebrations.
Join John Hegley for a marriage of poetry, tale-telling and songs drawn
from his new book, Uncut Confetti. In a quest to rediscover his continental
roots, the poet visits the ancient carnival in Nice, puts on a mask and
conjures the spirit of his French folie bergère dancing Grandma.
Then he lets loose in the streets for a knees-up.
New poems, old potatoes . . . a stanza bonanza.
An accompanying book by John Hegley, also entitled Uncut Confetti was
published by Methuen in April, and will be available to buy at the performance.

Works in the Richmond Foyer
Further to the work at present underway to remove the existing ceilings
from the Richmond Foyer, the remainder of the area will be dismantled
in two stages over the weekends of 17/18 and 24/25 June.

the bi-parting doors at the top of the ramp and Reception. An access tunnel
will be formed to Security (the other two pairs of bi-parting doors will
be clear by then).
For the weekend of 24/25 June, the enclosure for removal of the last
section of ceiling will block all access up the steps into the Lift lobby.
Diversions will be in operation for access to the Richmond Building.
Work in the Richmond Foyer will continue until mid-September.

How Love is Spelt
by Chloe Moss
Bradford University Theatre Group (BUTG)
Tickets £4.50/£3 concessions
"The same things don't happen twice, that can be good or bad depending
on how you look at it. My glass is half-full, I think it's good to be
like that."
Peta has thrown herself into a new city, new people and a new life with
a vengeance, although life in a student bedsit in London is perhaps not
as glamorous as she imagined it would be.
