The University of Bradford supports the Ecoversity Programme, which aims to embed the principles and practice of sustainable development across the entire institution by getting people involved and encouraging and making it easier for people to adopt sustainable behaviours and lifestyles.
Sustainability is therefore high on Bradford Conferencing's agenda and we are proud to work in partnership with the Ellen McArthur Foundation (EMF). In 2010 we hosted the EMF Ten+One Conference which provided a master class on Closed Loop Thinking, an ethos which Bradford Conferencing embraces and promotes.
We seek to ensure that all our events promote and support the wider principles of Ecoversity. Our principles for the delivery of sustainable events include:
Bradford Conferencing has embraced ‘Green Impact’ a national environmental accreditation scheme. Green Impact moves green programmes to their next level by developing a creative strategy that directly engages staff and positions sustainability as a key driver of innovation and institutional competitive advantage.
"Bradford Conferencing went above and beyond to ensure that the event all went smoothly. It was very reassuring to have staff on hand to help with any issues of changes to be made. The day was very successful and we had very positive feedback about the refreshments and venue." Joanna Puzo, WYLLN. April 2011.
"The environment and facilities are of the highest standard. The staff are professional and the co-ordination of events is outstanding." Director of Social Services
"We chose the Norcroft Centre at the University of Bradford for the cIm Northern Conference because it provides high quality, professional conference facilities and very reasonable rates with great flexibility on minimum numbers. The team have been incredibly helpful and we are looking forward to a very successful event." Nicky Wake, Don't Panic
" ... thank you so much for catering for my special dietary requirements today at the conference. It was a lovely day, and the meal you made me was absolutely fab, delicious! It was so nice to be able to eat with everyone else." Angelina Willowby, Conference Delegate, June 2011.
