Laura on the boating lake.
This stunning art gallery, which showcases various collections of Victorian and Edwardian, as well as contemporary works is situated in the middle of an expansive green park, surrounded by flower gardens, and water fountains.
The best part for me was the boating lake where pedal boats and rowing boats can be hired for a mere £3.25 per half hour. Be careful not to crash into the swans, the Queen owns them you know.
Laura outside Cartwright Hall.
Built in 1904 as an art gallery in the Baroque style. Collections consist of 19th and 20th century British art with a notable collection of international contemporary South Asian Art. Also incorporates Indian silver and Islamic calligraphy and textiles.
New facilities include the restored botanical gardens and Victorian lake, a new boating pavilion and café, statues, bandstand, a children's adventure playground and the new Mughal Gardens.
