Bradford Industrial Museum & Horses at Work

Laura.

Laura says . . .

Bradford's Industrial Museum is dedicated to the olden days, recreating life in late 19th Century Bradford. It encompasses the old mill, the original mill stables and shire horses and a cobbled road with back-to-back cottages all perfectly restored to the way it was back then.

Currently on show is a motorcycle exhibition featuring some impressive bikes, new and old. Or for a more authentic journey into the past, take a horse-drawn carriage, or a ride on a tram pulled by one of the beautiful shire horses.

Horses.

The Guidebook says . . .

Original worsted spinning mill complex built in 1875, now used to recreate life in Bradford at the turn of the 19th century.

Mill stables complete with shire horses, horse bus/tram rides, daily demonstrations, and mill owner's house, back to back cottages and shop.
