The women. Readings to celebrate Women
Bradford Community Broadcasting (BCB) listeners recently tuned in to readings by Creative Writing students at the University to commemorate International Women's Day.

Six women students from the classes - hosted by the University's School of Lifelong Education and Development (SLED) - gave readings of their own poetry and prose written to celebrate the joys of womanhood.
Creative Writing tutor Sue Wood began the readings, followed by her students, who wrote their work during module classes of 'Poetry Alive' and 'Writing for Self Exploration'.
Sue said: "The students' work focused on their own personal experiences, thoughts and feelings as women. I'm delighted that they were given the opportunity to share their talent in conjunction with a special day that recognises women internationally.
"We are a varied group in age and where we are in our lives. We spoke of growing old disgracefully, protesting politically, and celebrating everything about being women."
