    Flexible Working Policy

    Many employess within the University work flexibly, allowing them to balance their personal commitments and circumstances around work.  The University has now introduced a Flexible Working Policy to ensure all employees are aware of the right to request flexible working and to provide a clear framwork for both employees and managers to follow when making and considering flexible working requests.

    Types of flexible working include part-time working, changes to working patterns and unpaid leave of absence.  To be eligible to make such a request, employees must have worked for the University for 26 weeks continuously before applying.

    Please note that the Flexible Working Policy has replaced the Family Responsibility Scheme.  Please see the links below to read the full policy, Frequently Asked Questions and association documentation.
