Special Collections visitors will be affected by building works from March-June 2012. For up to date information, please see the (External) Building Works News stories on the Special Collections blog . As noise may be a problem in the Reading Room while works are going on, visitors are encouraged where possible to postpone their visit.
Special Collections will be closed for Jubilee bank holiday 4 and 5 June 2012.
Special Collections welcomes members of the University and external visitors. Our limited staffing means access is by appointment only. Please note that we are not open every day and we regret that access to collections will seldom be possible for visitors arriving without appointment. In particular, please don't make any travel or other arrangements before you have arranged a firm appointment with us.
Times available for appointments: Monday-Thursday, 10-12.30, 1.30-4.30. We will try to stay open during lunchtime whenever staffing permits.
However, staff and students of the University of Bradford may consult some books from Special Collections without appointment by asking at the J.B. Priestley Library Counter for the fetch service.

If you have an enquiry relating to the collections or wish to visit us, please use special-collections@bradford.ac.uk rather than the individual email addresses listed below. Emails to these addresses are read only by the staff concerned, so there may be delay in responding to you if that individual is on leave or off sick. Special-collections emails are sent to all staff members and can be easily rerouted if none of us are available. Thank you!
