Change your password frequently, for security reasons - see our Dos and Don'ts of Passwords advice (pdf) .
You should also set up (and you can update) your
password security questions and answers
(shared secrets). Doing this means that you are able to set yourself a new password if you forget your current one. (The security information you give
may also be used to confirm your identity when you phone for IT Support).
There are 4 ways to set a new password if you have forgotten it:
Occasionally, there are instances where some staff and some part-time or distance learner students will need to self register . Use the code you will have been given, along with your UB number (found on your staff or student card) to do this.
