University of Bradford - Making Knowledge Work
Home Student Life Discover Bradford Sport and The Arts
Bradford''s social scene is gaining a reputation for everything from laid-back trendy style venues to all-out party places.
There are now even more eateries, café bars, pubs and clubs in and around the campus than ever before. It's only a 10-minute walk to the city centre but with the array of student-friendly venues to walk past it could take hours.
Drama and film are particularly big in the city with four outstanding theatres to choose from and the totally engrossing National Media Museum close to the University campus.
If you enjoy watching top-class sport, there's football with Bradford City and Rugby Superleague with Bradford Bulls - World Club Championship winners 2002, 2004, 2006 and Super League Champions 1997, 2001, 2003, 2005.
Both teams play within two-miles of campus.
Yorkshire county cricket club play at Headingley in Leeds - a short train journey away.
There's also ice-skating at Bradford Ice Rink, a stone's throw from campus, for the more adventerous amongst you!
